HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE ON WELL-BEING
If you suffer from symptoms associated with any of the conditions I treat, but haven’t been diagnosed with one, it’s possible that I can help you.
As a naturopathic doctor, I approach illness from a holistic perspective with the aim to improve your overall health and stimulate your body’s natural healing processes. This can help improve your well-being.
YOU HAVE OPTIONS
Naturopathic medicine offers safe, flexible and effective treatments for a wide range of conditions
-
Lifestyle Counselling
Lifestyle counselling involves exploring various aspects of healthy lifestyle, including mind-body connection, light exposure, diet, exercise, among other factors. Together, we co-create strategies and set goals to modify these habits where necessary to help optimize your overall health and wellness.
-
Herbal Medicine
Herbal Medicine includes teas, tinctures (alcohol based extractions), and dried supplements. The tinctures and teas are compounded on-site and offer a wonderful opportunity for individualization. The herbs are selected based on patient’s concerns and thus are always custom-designed.
-
Nutrition
Diet is key to a healthy lifestyle. Recommendations are made based on patient’s condition, religious beliefs, personal preferences, the latest research and individual response. I do not support any one diet as being the solution for everyone and everything. Many diets are beneficial for different conditions at different stages. Nutritional supplements may be recommended.
-
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles into points on the body to stimulate the “Qi” as per Eastern Medicine. The average session is 30 to 40 minutes and is repeated between 6 and 12 times through 6 to 12 weeks. Points vary and are selected based your custom plan. This also directs the duration and frequency of these sessions. Acute conditions typically see an improvement in 3 sessions, while chronic conditions can take longer.
-
Laboratory Testing
Laboratory Testing at the Integrated Healthcare Centre is partnered with LifeLabs and offers a full range of lab tests that are available to naturopathic doctors. These include food allergy testing, cholesterol panel, environmental toxin assessment, hormone testing and many others.
